Once again, the Welland Conservation Program will be providing replacement incentives for residents who install energy-efficient washing machines. Washing machines represent the second largest use of water in the home at approximately 20%.   Efficient washers use only about 65% of the water and 50% of the energy that conventional washers use.

The list of washing machines which are approved for rebates can be found below in addition to the application form. PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AS INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

 

 AM I ELIGIBLE? ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  1. I am a resident of the City of Welland and have a valid Welland Water Account number.
  2. I am replacing an existing washing machine.
  3. I have completed all components of the application form located on the adjacent side of this sheet. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  4. I have verified that the washing machine that I have purchased can be found on the list of eligible washing machines (Please see list located above or at the engineering desk at City Hall).
  5. I have attached a copy of my original bill of sale in addition to proof of manufacturer and model number.
  6. I have not already applied for this incentive at this property.
  • Please see list of washing machines which are eligible to receive rebate at www.welland.ca/conservation or the engineering desk at City Hall (60 East Main Street, Welland, ON). 
  • Due to program popularity, there is a limit of 5 rebates per household. 
  • The City of Welland acts independently from local retailers and cannot enforce or administer promises from them should the application not meet all criteria for rebate.
  • Rebate may take up to 1 month to receive in the mail.
  • The City of Welland disqualifies certain makes/models of washing machines which have been tested by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) should they not perform to acceptable standards.
