The Building Division reviews plans and conducts inspections for Building Permits, unsafe buildings and Property Standards complaints in accordance with the Ontario Building Code Act.  Licensing for plumbers, administration of the SWAP and LASSR Programs and the registration of vacant buildings are also handled by this Division.

  • Sewage Water Alleviation Program (SWAP Program)
    • Up to $3,000 available to residents with basement problems related to sanitary sewage back-ups
       
  • Lead and Split (Water) Service Replacement Program (LASSR Program)
    • Up to $1,500 available to residents to offset the cost of replacement of existing lead or split (shared) water services
       
  • Registration of Vacant Buildings
    • (except a vacant house or vacant farm building)
